Who we are
4Star Events is a Chicago-based, full-service event management and consultation company, founded on four principle pillars of business, each symbolizing one of the four stars as seen on the Chicago flag. Graduating from Northwestern University and the University of Chicago, co-founders Vincent Lujan and Sommy Irani have spent years in the hospitality industry building social networks and venue partnerships, developing the operational skill set to provide premier event management services.
Whether you are looking to plan undergraduate Greek life events, graduate school happy hour(s) and/or networking events, corporate outings, or a night out on the town, the team at 4Star Events has the capability of meeting all of your event needs, no matter what the occasion!
Getting an early start in the hospitality industry, Sommy worked as an Operations Analyst at the restaurant management firm Robinson Hill while completing his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago. After graduating in 2016, Sommy worked as the Business Development Manager for 8 Hospitality, also serving as General Manager for one of the company’s portfolio venues – Key Club at Hubbard Inn. Leaving 8 Hospitality in 2017, Sommy shifted his focus to event management and consulting, becoming a founding partner of 4Star Events. In addition to 4Star Events, Sommy is also a partner at a financial services company based in Chicago and enjoys collecting and restoring classic cars in his spare time.
After completing an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in 2012, Vincent worked part-time assisting undergraduate students find venues for Greek life events while pursuing his master’s degree at the University of Chicago (‘2014). After graduating, Vincent’s love for the nightlife industry led him into a career in hospitality venue development and management. Alongside his partnership with 4Star Events, Vincent owns and operates PM2AM Hospitality, which holds equity in several nightclubs and bars across the River North and Lincoln Park areas of Chicago, and consults for the interactive nightlife discovery app “Current Nightlife”.
